Pinewood lies approximately 200 miles northwest of the Twin Cities where it is situated in a beautiful wooded area on the south shore of Ten Mile Lake. It is 2 miles north of Hackensack, MN on Hwy 371 and 5 miles west on Cass County #6 (Lower Ten Mile Lake Road). It is 14 miles from Walker, and the immediate area includes numerous unique shops, fine restaurants, and additional attractions including the Northern Lights Casino and the Paul Bunyan Bike Trail.
Pinewood occupies about 550 feet of natural sandy beach that slopes gently into Ten Mile Lake, one of Minnesota’s deepest and clearest lakes. Between the cabins and beach is a well kept lawn and play area.
The resort includes cabins, all of which face the lakeshore and a lodge where the manager resides. The cabins are maintained and available for rent all year long. The cabins are individually owned and maintained, but some cabins are available for rent when the owners are not there. There is also a swimming area designated with protective buoys, including a swim raft and a relaxing dock area.
The rental season is from May through September. Prime season begins the first Saturday on or after June 15th through the second to the last full week in August.
